Conclusion The devastating explosion at Deepwater Horizon occurred due to the missteps taken by BP, Transocean, Halliburton the MMS. The companies neglected their responsibilities acted in an unethical way. The decision of the management of the company was poor and unethical. There was a need of reformation of the relationship between the oil industry the officials of the government. The conflict of interest within the organisation of MMS needed to be eliminated. The implementation of the new rules is required to be made in order to avoid such a disaster in the future days.
